Titleist SureFit Hosel Adjustment Guide for Drivers and More (1)

Congrats on your new Titleist driver, fairway wood or hybrid purchase! Now what do those letters and numbers mean along the hosel?

Don’t worry, our Titleist SureFit chart is below – plus our staff of PGA Professionals answer some of your most asked questions around the hosel, Titleist driver settings and more. We want you to be able to make the most of your new purchase and max out your performance. Gaining more accuracy with your preferred ball flight is a great bonus, too.

While the information below is noted in the context of a Titleist driver, most of it applies to fairway woods and hybrids as well. We’ll be sure to point out any differences!

What Is the Titleist SureFit Hosel?

The hosel is the part of the adjustable golf club – usually a driver – that connects the clubhead to the golf shaft. The Titleist SureFit hosel has two moving parts with four settings each that can create 16 different lie and loft options.

Titleist Golf’s innovation here is brilliant, as any of their top-selling drivers can be customized to your swing. However, if you don’t know what your Titleist TS2 driver settings should be, for example, there can be a lot of confusion around configuring the best setup.

How Does the Titleist SureFit Hosel Work?

First, let’s start with the basics - how does this hosel even work? Using your Titleist SureFit Torque Wrench, loosen the screw in the clubhead until you can remove it; you’ll find you have space to move around the two different rings on the hosel now. Once you have your desired loft and lie combination set, reattach the clubhead and tighten the screw with the wrench again until you hear it lock with a click.

Now that you know the physical steps you need to take to work the SureFit hosel, let’s figure out which setting is right for you. That’s where the Titleist hosel adjustment chart comes in, and it’s more than just a Titleist loft chart.

How to Adjust a Titleist Driver

Every right-handed Titleist driver starts in the A-1 position while every left-handed Titleist driver starts in the D-4 position. If you want a higher trajectory, move up the Titleist adjustment chart from the original position; if you want a lower trajectory, move down.

To add more draw your shot shape, move left (for a right-handed golfer) along the chart. For a fade, move right (for a right-handed golfer) along the Titleist driver adjustment chart.

The Titleist fairway wood adjustment chart is the same as the Titleist driver chart. Both use 0.75-degree increments in their settings. The Titleist chart for hybrids, however, uses 1-degree increments.

Titleist TSR3 SureFit Settings

Because the Titleist TSR3 driver has the additional weight adjustment, this could impact your typical loft and lie settings. Keep these settings in mind when adjusting your (right-handed) driver hosel right or left to affect shot shape:

  • N: Neutral
  • T1: Slight Fade
  • T2: More Fade
  • H1: Slight Draw
  • H2: More Draw

Sample Settings for Your Titleist Driver

Let’s test out some setting examples. If you’re a right-handed golfer and want to hit the ball higher with more draw, you would adjust the SureFit hosel to D-3. If you’re a left-handed golfer who wants to hit the ball higher with more draw, you would choose the A-2 setting.

What if you’re curious about specific Titleist driver settings? Here are some guides around Titleist Golf’s most popular lines so you can understand the base setup before adjusting for more (or less) draw and height:

  • Titleist TSi Drivers
  • Titleist TS Drivers
  • Titleist Drivers by Handicap
